We have never dined at Garden Grill, but I really miss the dining experience at the Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner!

I actually think behind the seeds is very interesting, so I was wondering if anyone who had done the Liberty Tree dinner with characters thinks this meal at GG is comparable, or too different to compare.

TIA!:flower3:

I think it is completely different, but still great for different reasons!

I like that it feels a bit more private, with the way the tables are set up.
We always seem to get great interaction time with the characters at GG.
Plus, the atmosphere is really fun, rotating and being able to peak into the ride.

When we ate with the characters at LTT (back in 2005) we loved everything about it....I really wish they would bring the characters back. As for GG, we had dined there twice already and the first time we had excellent service and excellent food. However, this last trip it was anything but excellent. First of all, we didn't get seated until a little over an hour past our ADR time due to them overlooking our name after we checked-in, then our waiter was hardly around...anytime we wanted refills on our waters or wanted more food, it took him forever to be located and then it took equally as long to bring the food to our table. Lastly, the food was not quite as good as the first time that we had it. Don't get me wrong, some things were good, but others not so much. The only thing I could say that was really great at GG was the character interaction, but that probably won't cut it for eating there again....we can meet Mickey, Donald, Chip and Dale some where else whether it is in the parks or at another character meal.

We never ate at LTT but I think the set up of the tables at GG makes for less interaction between the characters. I've read some stories online of chip & dale fighting & playing a lot together at LTT.

As for Garden Grill, DH & I really enjoyed the food. I don't like fish & I loved the fish there. Our server was funny & very attentive. Pluto played with my DD10 with our misting fans. She had one turned on her, he turned it toward him. She turned it back to her & he turned it back to him. She turned it back to her I put the other one on the table for him. He turned both of them toward him and put his arms in the air and stood there with the fans blowing on him. It was cute. We got some adorable pictures. One of the chipmunks told my DS5 to eat his vegetables because they would make him strong.

Luv GG. We were HUGE LTT lovers as well and miss seeing colonial MINNIE!! I really , as well as the kids, love the character interaction here at GG tho.THe characters are very one-on-one here with the set up and the food is fantatic. We like to ride The Land before we eat so the kids will see where the veggies are coming from. This is the first trip we will not be eating at GG_ not resservations open for our EPCOT days:confused3 ....Nothing. We will be going in 2 weeks and I keep checking tho. Try it! Its always wonderful:goodvibes

I totally agree with this. We were also huge LTT fans when the characters were there - still are fans of LTT but we now go for lunch. Garden Grill has been fantastic each time we have gone. Our first time to Garden Grill was back in 1998 when they still served breakfast. Since then breakfast has been removed, but our dinners have been very good. It was our best meal last year for character interaction and we had the best server. While some people are not a fan of the menu, we happen to really like it. The salad and rolls are particularly good. :) I am excited this year for our daughter to have sweet potato fries since that's something she eats at home. We also really like that you can see scenes from Living with the Land while you dine. Mickey is really cute in his overalls, too. And you gotta love Chip, Dale and of course Pluto. I do however miss seeing Minnie here, she was so cute in her country dress back in 1998. :goodvibes

Thanks everyone!...You have all made me look forward to trying it out!

...It is just a meal, so... :rolleyes1...Still wish they'd bring back characters at LTT!!!!!...it was really special somehow!:flower3:

LTT was a family tradition with us. We loved it! DD loves the rolls from LTT, does GG have the same rolls?

We haven't been back to LTT since the ended the character dinner and have never been to GG.

We haven't been to GG in about 5 ys but are going next month...we also miss LTT characters and haven't been since the characters left...
