really dumb question about roasters

Can all Roasters be used as crock pots too?

I notice some of them specifially say "slow cooker" in addition to the roaster option, but not all of them say that.

It would make sense to me that all would do both but then I havent had enough coffee yet this morning to make big decisions

Oh!! We're talking about two different things! As long as it has a "low" heat setting, I can't wee why that wouldn't work as a crock pot...

DH got me one a couple of years ago and it said not to cook food directly in the cooker. The food needed to be in another pan and placed into the roaster. Thats not how I wanted to use it. I wanted to use mine like a crock-pot. I cooked a ham in it a couple of times, but other than that I never found much of a use for it. Maybe they have changed in the last several years, but I know mine you couldn't cook directly in.

ahhhhh I see.

THanks Powell. I wonder if they have changed. Im trying to find something for Christmas so I can cook both the turkey and Ham in at the same time but if it could do double duty that would be even better.
