Is a die cut a piece of paper cut into a premade shape, or is it something to make pieces of paper into special shapes?

I am SO new to this it's hideously embarassing, I'm sorry.

Can someone give me a working link to using computer fonts for scrapbooking so I can make pretty titles? The FAQ link doesn't work, and I have no idea what I'm doing.

Thank you,

P.S. What is an LSS?

No problem! We were all there so we know the feeling.
LSS is Local Scrapbook Store.
Diecuts are already cut shapes. You can buy them in any craft store, they have so many different shapes. My Michaels has a display of them with little pull out draws, and you just pick the ones you want. They are usually about a quarter each. You can also buy them in packs based on themes. You can also make them yourself with a Sizzix machine....but that's a whole other story and alot of money!!
Hope that helps.

I use the Font CD's that you can purchase from Michael's or LSS. I like the Creating Keepsakes ones the best. You load them onto your computer then use Microsoft Word, etc... to type, edit and print your titles, journaling,...

The true type fonts are loaded directly to your word processing program.
