Reallocating points

How can you change current year points for borrowed points?

Feb use year/Riv home resort. I have a May 2025 stay booked using 2025 points. I'd like to free up some of these points (~10) to book a 2024 UY trip, and then borrow from 2026 for the May 2025 trip. Can MS reallocate the points without me losing the current Riviera reservation?

You can only borrow points when making a reservation. What you will need to do is book a random night in your 2025 UY right now and borrow the 2026 points… then cancel it.

Once you cancel, it will put those in the account and you can now modify the May 2025 trip, don’t change a thing and it will pick up the borrowed points and then free up 2025 points for you.

As a DVC newb, I've been trying to read as many random threads hoping to learn and pick-up on all these veteran tricks and tips. I'm starting to understand that @Sandisw post gold nugget after gold nugget. lol. My thirst for DVC knowledge cannot be quenched right now!
