Hi
I’d like your honnest opinion
about what’s the crowds ..temperature …
also if I go in either those months do I really need to plan with genie plus or car I go with the flow and see / do attractions ?

also as for wdw do we need to do mobile order for our lunch ? Or is it possible to go without doing mobile ordering ?
seated restaurants or dinner we can book 60 days out like Disney right ?
thanks for your input

Here you go...

September should be less crowded because most Schools will be back in session (late August should be less crowded than the beginning of August for the same reasons)

September weather should be a little more comfortable temperature wise (later you go the further into Fall weather/temps)

We just got back from a trip the last weekend of January (I am guessing that is about as low of a crowd as you can get at anytime of the year these days) and Genie+ was worth it for us even if we could have gotten by with out it and still enjoyed the experience. You can add Genie+ to your ticket on a daily basis once you have entered the parks so you can always "go with the flow" and make that decision at a moments notice. There is no cost advantage adding it to your tickets when you purchase them, in fact it could be seen as a disadvantage because you are paying for it for the full number of days on your ticket.

We had 3 day park hoppers (ended up buying Genie+ all 3 days). We did walk up counter/quick service lunch the 1st day, Mobile order lunch the 2nd day and had an Advanced Dining Reservation (60 days out) for lunch the 3rd day. It was probably mixed 50/50 mobile order and walk up for the rest of our food purchases. However, I am pretty sure that there are some quick service locations that only do mobile order or only do walk up so it will depend on where you go and what you want to eat. It also seemed like sometimes the mobile order menu was missing some things that were available if you ordered in person, but I could be wrong about that.

September and October are often hotter than August. I wouldn’t choose based on the weather … it will probably be the same (hot) either of those months.

It’s not so much as weather I don’t really mind ( used to wdw which is hottttt)
It’s crowds .. and if I don’t take génie plus will I be able to do attractions anyway
I’d like to not have to always be face down on my phone

Depends on what days of the week you are looking at going. If you're a rope-dropper, you can get most things done before the early afternoon/evening crowds arrive without the need for Genie+.

Do you think world of color might be back ?

Yes. It will be back soon. Probably April ish.

Also, just wanted to say, guaranteed September will be hotter and more crowded than August. Once the halloween stuff gets going, forget it.

Agreed about the weather, August and September are both hot 80F+ with occasional 90s and 100s days. Also the weather can be difficult to predict. see: current excessive heat warnings for today in Anaheim

Go in August. Longer park hours, more entertainment.
Didn’t think about that because my wife is a Teacher so we are usually there Fri-Sun when hours are longer year round whenever we go. Also forgot about Halloween Time affecting September crowds.

How many areas of the country don’t have 80-90 days in the dog days of summer ? Not many

Yes, but here the heat lasts much longer into fall. October is generally hot, not cool. November can start cooling off but not always. It can be 80-90s in November. A few years ago it was 100 on Thanksgiving.
