I am reserved at the WL. But, my wife might want to try the BC. I have 2 DD's (10 & 7) and a DS(2). How long does it take to get to Epcot, MGM or Boardwalk from the BC? Realistic walk times assuming a normal room.

Thanks

ps-Since my son is still an infant we were able to stay at the WL. But, next trip the BC will probably be our choice since we need a room for 5.

Well, it all depends. The beach club is closest to Epcot. Leaving the lobby of the beach club the walk to the international gateway is about 5-10 minutes. This brings you into Epcot at the Rose and Crown.

The walk to Boardwalk depends on where you are going at Boardwalk. ESPN club is closest to the Beach Club, about 5-10. The bakery is next, about another minute. Probally 5 more minutes to JellyRolls / Atlantic Dance. The whole circut of the lake is 8/10 of a mile.

The trip to MGM is the longest trip that you will make. It will be about 25 - 35 minutes from the Beach Club. It may be too much of a trip for the younger kids. The boat leaves from the lighthouse outside the Beach Club for MGM. If it's hot take the boat. Don't bother taking the boat to Epcot, it's much closer to walk.

We stayed at the BCV in January and it took us no more then 5 minutes to walk to both World Showcase and the Boardwalk. We did not walk to MGM so I can't be any help with that.

When we walk from BW to MGM it takes about 15 minutes. Add another 5-8 minutes to get from BC to the back of BW.

The walk from BW is not bad, we always beat the boat! Have to add a little for BC, I think it would be shorter to go past the YC.

:sunny: We recently stayed at the YC in a room directly above the marina. These were our walk times: To Epcot (World Showcase)...about 7 minutes.
To Epcot monorail station....about 20 minutes. To walk completely around the Boardwalk...about 20-25 minutes. To MGM...about 15-20 minutes.

Our boys are teens now, so we did not have little ones and I know that could add some time to your walks compared to ours. But just thought I would let you know how it worked for us.

Hope you have a great time!!! ::MickeyMo

We usually take the boat to and from MGM. It's a fun boat ride, but kind of a boring walk.

You know, I had never thought of that, but you're probably right. Thanks for the thought. I'll have to try that next week.

It's takes us less then 5 min. to get to WS or BW. We always do the ferry to MGM. It doesn't take but 10-15 minutes depending on how many people get on at the Swan/Dolphin. We love being able to walk right into the WS. We would run over there just go to the Bakery in France some nights for dessert. We also like walking over the BW Bakery for breakfast.

DH says to all our friends, "Epcot is so close, I couldn't finish the beer I started for the walk to Le Cellier!"
