Realistic shot at BCV 2BR @ 7 months?

Yeah, the lock off is only available for a few days after check in (about a week, but I need 10 nights)

I think I'll book the dedicated room and the lock off for one night, then waitlist the dedicated room. Hopefully if the waitlist comes through MS can combine them into a single reservation.

We are planning on staying at universal for the first 3 nights of this trip, I could also extend that by a night.

Reasonable chance August in BWV have you looked there ?. Last end of July they were available bang on 7 months. I actually got a 2 bed standard but had to waitlist.

Well, the lock off wasn't available this morning either. Sigh. I guess I will try to book the other 9 nights tomorrow (now that the start date is 1/15 instead of 1/14 I have to wait till to tomorrow to do that). Bummer.

We wanted to stay at BCV this year primarily for Stormalong Bay for the kids. They'll be old enough this year to do their own thing and enjoy it and we wanted to take advantage of that.

I just realized that I can't even do it tomorrow because you can only book 7 consecutive days at the window. I'd need to wait a few days so that I can book all 9.

It's so weird that a random Wednesday is fully booked. The 10th-13th are available and so are the 15th-31st of august. It's literally that one random Wednesday that's unavailable. So frustrating.

You still want to book the first 7 days tomorrow and then over the next 2 days modify that reservation to add the additional 2 nights. You can do that online and you don't necessarily have to do it at 8am eastern unless that time works. You won't have a chance if you wait 2 days nor do you have to wait to start the reservation.

I think I just don't want to risk totally losing the 10 day reservation I already have in order to book partial reservations elsewhere. Staying at BCV or not won't make or break this trip by any means. If the 14th was available I would do it, but given that I'd have to waitlist that date anyway, it's all too much of a pain. If it was a shorter reservation and fewer people I wouldn't be as hesitant, but given the length and need to accommodate 7 people, my options are somewhat limited.

I may actually wind up switching us to OKW. There's still 2BR near HH available, we have stayed there before on our membership and like it, and it has sentimental value because of family trips we took there in the 90's when my grandparents owned there. My parents are likely coming with us and my mom hasn't been there since my grandfather passed away, so I think she would actually really like to stay there and think about those trips. They've stayed with us before at AKV and I know it's not really my mom's favorite.

Then you also could just set up a waitlist for the 10 nights at BCV. That isn't very likely to come thru but no harm in trying.
