Realistically, how far away in hours are you from NC/SC border to disney. I will be driving at the speed limit and will just make quick "relief" breaks. I am trying to determine if this will be where my night stay will be.

That's about 8 hours driving time. When we last make the trip, we drove to Selma, about an hour farther.

I drive at prevailing speeds - We left at 8am and would have arrived 5pm if not for bad weather in NC.

I agree - 8 hours sounds about right. I've driven the I-95 route several times, also at prevailing speeds, and my rule of thumb is its about 3 hours through SC, a little over 1 hour through GA (plus a little time out for a quick pit stop), and about 3 hours through FL to Orlando (plus another pit stop before we get to Orlando). All together it adds up to about 8 hours. Travel time could vary depending on route, road construction, weather, and accidents.

I also agree, it's about eight hours. We've stayed at the Hampton Inn Civic Center in FLorence several times, and it's very clean and comfortable. It's about 30 minutes after you cross the state line headed southbound in SC.
