We go out to one of those tree farms and hack down our own for the main tree. Love the fresh tree smell. It lasts pretty well from second week in December until after New Years.

Then, small table top pre-lit fake tree placed up high with the Precious Moments collection on it, to save them from being broken.

I grew up with a real tree every year. I tortured my husband with a real tree for about 5 years until we realized he was allergic. I was fine making him go with me to pick out a tree, lug it home, and put it up. But I just couldn't make him put up with a stuffed up head and asthma flair up due to a real tree. Now I love my prelit tree! The only thing he has to do is get it out of the attic each year. I handle putting it up myself.
