Does anyone have a link to get me started
finding a list of the homes that have sold in my area,
without giving out my town's name?
I used to have a link that would let me search but
I no longer have it.
I tried a search using my hometown's name,
and my county, but nothing but actual Realtor's sites
come up and they don't offer completed listings.
Then there are some that come up that want
me to pay for the completed listings, but I know I
had a free one before.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Boy would I love to know that site if you find it!! We always have to go through a local realtor for that information! Good Luck! :wizard: :wizard:

You can either look at the property appraiser's website (if your town has one), or you can look at a database like the one that boston.com has (for New England, obviously). I think that other areas/websites have these. I do find them to be a couple of months behind in recording the transfers, but they are useful for general price info even being a couple of months behind.

Call the office where that information is recorded in your county, ours is the county assessors office, and ask them. That information is public record so you can ask about any property sold. You will have to give them an address to look up. Some counties have this information online, too.

Just now checking in - thanks for the tips I'll check them out.
