Has anyone every gotten a real crib at BLT or AKL (not pnp)?
I know you can rent one from an outside vendor but I was hoping to save a bit of $ and headache (we will be moving resort) by getting one from the resort.

Real cribs are available at the co-located resorts, first come, first served. I don't believe that the DVC has purchased real cribs for the stand alone resorts.

Thanks Bill,
That means at WDW only SSR and OKW don't have any real cribs right?

That's correct. From what I understand, the real cribs are made available for cash Guests staying at a non DVC resorts. If you are staying at a DVC resort that is attached to a regular resort, Mousekeeping will let DVC Member use a crib if available. We have seen them at BWV, BCV, and VWL. On check out day the Mousekeepers put the cribs in the hall so that they can be picked up for cleaning.

Thank you so much. Let's hope we can get one when we're there! :)

We tried to get one at VWL and requested it prior to check in. When we got to our room, it wasn't there so we called the front desk. They said that cribs are not available, which is why there is a pack n play in each room.

I'm sure it was just an uninformed cm, but the same thing happened at BCV.
Not sure who we should have spoken with to get a real crib. I'll try again when we go in Jan as dd will be 13m and will do better in a crib at that age then a PnP.

Good luck.

Try calling Mousekeeping.

we had a crib at BCV in 08 and my son was not happy with it. It was a metal crib with a rather thin mattress this trip In 4/09 we used the pack and play it was a bit better. my little guy will be almost 2 this next trip and still uses his crib at home (has never tried to climb out unlike the pnp) so I am renting the full size crib from a Baby's Best Friend
