What I want to know is, does the clown realize he has to do this because he is creepy dee to adults and kids alike AND if so, doesn't this prove the need to remove clowns from entertainment venues (including internet message boards)? I am not all caught up here but had a few thoughts while I was gone.

Apparently I missed Show Yourself Day on the thread because in my skim-over it appears many of you posted pictures, then deleted them. Now you will have to pm them to me. I have to see you. You've all seen me. I was going to request a Show Yourself Day anyway. We are BORG. All of us.

I also thought it might be telling to post pics of where we Dis. I will go first, later today. I will NOT clean off my desk before I post. I will leave it in the natural state.

Alright children, I'm out for the next 4 or 5 days. See you again Tuesday night (or Wednesday morning, depending on the vagaries of the on-time performance of Delta Airlines). Saw the thread Horsey -- thanks. But now I'm almost afraid to come back and read what people post on it. Keep the good thought for me as I attempt to wrangle my kids solo on a 3.5 hour plane flight to and from the Land of Enchantment, and whilst there. Thank god for portable DVD players. Now go forth, post and don't get this thread locked before I return. And Sher -- Happy Anniversary! Have a shrimp. On me. Shoot, have a whole buttload. Cheers!

Well, here it is. The Throne (as dh calls it). Now you can see where I communicate with you people. In fact, you can see that I am a person. Unedited desk, remember????? Here's the story:

Viking Pluto arrived in the box at right (thanks MP!) while I was away this week. Now he sits over my screen, watching me as a moderator. Good Pluto. The pics at top are my family, with the center 8x10 our Cinderellabration meet-and-greet. Yes, I know I need to get them all framed. Can't Dis and frame things. Someday.

Viking Pluto's autograph book is at left with my phone and headset (yes, I use it. All the time. Try it. Your family will think you work for Lands' End.) There's a pill bottle there, too. Need to get a refill. Don't ask.

My Daytimer (old-fashioned paper) is open to the Maelstrom meet dates so I could make ADRs. My mouse is on my Happiest Celebration mousepad. Don't buy it. It's slippery and the mouse hates it. Groovy ride.

The card next to the box is my sweet Mother's day card from Shrek.

Oh, there's a pile of mail on the left. Birthday parties and such.

Scribbled phone numbers on scraps complete the Dis-Throne.

This completes your Friday afternoon entertainment.

Got a date tonight. And this time it's with my husband.

Yes, sadly for him, the boy will be sitting this one out at his grandparent's house with his sister.

We're going out with my best friend since the 8th grade and her husband who is quite possible the funniest man we've ever met. ZZUB, don't get offended and put me on Ignore. We technically haven't "met" you yet.

Anyway, he's the kind of guy that as soon as you see him, you bust out laughing just in anticipation of all the stupid, funny things he's gonna say and in remembrance of all the stupid, funny stuff he's already said. They are awesome and we love them dearly. We don't see them nearly as much as we should and I'm looking forward to hanging out with them. We're also going with one of DH's friends from school and his wife. They're pretty cool too.

So anyway, it should be fun. Hopefully we won't get kicked out of the steakhouse and the Heimlich won't have to be performed.
