Which one of you told my kids that I didn't want to take a nap today?

TFI, I am not a happy mama.

Sorry, that would have been me.

If I have to entertain a three year old, well, then you can't sleep.

Again, sorry.
Erin

What, I've been meaning to ask, is BORG? Is it an all purpose word? The Johnny-on-the-spot in the word kingdom?

Define WHOO-HOOTIE.... is it all together different than Whoo-Hoo? Or "14 Hootie" says Tink

Yak, that was not the episode of Grey's we got. Actually a replay of episode 1 is on tonight or tomorrow so you might try again and then watch yours.

UMA (which sounds like it should mean University of Mass instead of Utah Mama), it is woo hooty and started when one of my DIS friends was chatting with us one night and meant to type woo hoo and hit the ty by mistake. The rest is history.

Borg is from one of the Star Trek Deep Six Feet Under or something like that. It means you think alike. Haley and I had a Borg PM moment today and I have to tell you it was quite the woo hooty! :hyper: :hyper:

Really.....

I didn't watch the Toronto station because of Survivor. I ended up taping the Saskatoon station at 9pm and watching that. (We have Bell ExpressVu) Maybe it was the Toronto station that goofed?

Not sure if the US got the episode we did, because the TV guide on ABC said it was the recap episode.

Anyone else see it? Horsey?

The beginning was a very short recap of what happened at the end of the last season. Then Izzy started making muffins, pretty much the whole time.
So as not to spoil.....boy and a tree, Merideth (sp? Jami...) has to make a choice, Preston's mom and dad come, George gets jealous, guy from Queer as Folk having brain surgery, towel at the end.

Sound familiar?

Yak - I see Lou already told you this, but that was not the episode we got in the US. Izzy spent the whole episode on the floor of the bathroom in her prom dress still. So she wouldn't have been up making muffins yet. I think ABC is reairing it tonight, at least here. "Check your local listings."

Merideth (sp? Jami...)
Meredith. And I DVRed it so I am watching tonight. YAK. I love to spell. Thanks for asking.

Ash, my head is MUCH better, even after the seventh grade party. Picture 250 kids in a darkened cafeteria with a DJ cranking loud tunes. My phone rang in the middle of the party so I got to talk to Grammy over the din.

SHrek is home after a week long trip so I may be scarce. Have a great Friday night, peeps!

I just got the woohoty on the riddle thread, y'all!!!! :cool1:

Oh, and the menu is set for tonight. Shrimp chimichangas and homemade guacamole. Let me know if you're coming so I'll know how many sombreros to pick up.
Did some Tex-Mex here, too. Some soft tacos with both beef and chorizo. No homemade guacamole as the avocadoes here suck right now. Either way too hard or falling apart in your hands. Found a great wine to go with the tacos, too: Oakley 5 Reds (by Cline Vineyards in CA). It's a blend of five grapes--hence, the name--and is juicy, slightly spicy, deep, dark, with a decent finish. Holds up well to spices. Should be able to find it for around $10 a bottle, maybe less.

Dog! I did not do a shout out to you and em's mom! Eeek!

Thanks for the wine rec. Sounds yummy. I am sipping a glass of cab from our Pennsylavania wine tour with the strommers this summer. 2002 Clover Hill-multidimensional, full bodied and dry, with a hint of currant. It is lovely.

Hope the knee is mending. If not cut it off and be like grammy, or one of the pirates of the caribbean (which the kids are watching at this very moment).

then I think we should have a great vacation.

Thing 1) MIL's house sales and DH has 3.5 weeks to clear out a lifetime of junk

Thing 2) Roofer's come to roof house - no warning - park trailer in driveway (DH can't load/unload his junk from Thing 1 for several days). Plus, they wil be back next week to fix some flashing that they should have installed.

Thing 3) City water department calls to inform us that we have a 200.00 water bill for this month and they suspect that we have a leak. Sure enough it is in the line from the street to the house. We have no water, except to turn it on at the street and then turn it off again. Workers coming (maybe next week) likely the day after we get back from this trip! Cost: about 1K I am sure, plus whatever the water dept decides to charge us on that bill.

Crashdad is about ready to self-destruct. May spend first night of trip drinking by the pool and blithering like an idiot. Could be ugly, may be drool involved. *shudder*

So, like I said if "Things" really come in 3's, we should be set for a fantastic trip!

CRIKEY - this will make getting all the laundry and stuff done for the packing interesting... hmm maybe I should just go buy all new clothes..jk. I think!
TFI!!

No offense taken, as there are literally a gilliganillion folks on M2 now. I will even admit to--gasp!--skimming through the posts. . .so, way to tell on yourself! lol

There are so many decent to good wines at affordable prices these days. Sure, you can find some superb wines for more, but most of us can't afford $50-$70 for an "everyday" wine. I'm always on the lookout for good values given my affection toward the crushed, fermented grape.

Knee is fine. . .as it was within two days of completing the race--the little dastarb. That's alright. I'm getting even with it next year when I push the envelope even further. Heh, heh. . .oh, and I'm going in hock to Wenonah canoes, specifically the Voyager. It's fast. . .really. . .

Steph! Yikes - hang in there!

I'm so excited - I just booked The Lion King (traveling Broadway show, because we live just a smidge too far from NY ;) ) - and the best part is they're here during my birthday, and my mom bought DH and I the tix for my birthday present - I can't wait!

It'll be a nice Disney fix for those lovely Nebraska winters.
