Mark was racing with me, last night. And even after Lou's post, I still had to TELL him that we were only going to make it to 9900. Which reiterates our feeling that if Wesley is not independently intelligent in math, we will have to hire a tutor.

I can think of a myriad of other fun things to do on a rainy day than make homemade Play Doh. . .that one would be about number 37 on my list, I think.

And spelling? Well, my brain just functions that way. I couldn't tell a trapezoid from a triangle, but sit me down to edit a paper. . .and the bloody red ink flows. . .just ask my students from the not so distant past. . .though I did use blue or black ink just so they wouldn't feel as if a homicide had been committed on their essays. . .

Yes, but if you MAKE the playdough (let's not use brand names for homemade, 'k?) then the kids are happy and occupied and YOU can do the other 36 more exciting things on your list.

"89 pounds."
