Is your DD back to school yet?

I have a WDW trip planned for December 30 - January 6 and don't have the $ or vacation time to go again this year either

But I'd sure love to be a fly on the wall at the some of the meet events!

Emily will start middle school tuesday after Labor Day. She is going away this week to my parents' house in Richmond and then on sunday we are going to the big NOT DISNEY known as Busch Gardens. The only reason I go back is the awesome barbeque they have in the New France/Canada type area. Yummo!

We were supposed to go in october, but we would have missed the meet by a week. Unfortunately, work, money and assorted other stuff got in the way. I am trying to get another trip to Disney in the next few months.

Till then, there are trip reports to read by our awesome Maelstromin friends!

Well busy day today...it's my Mommy's Birthday celebration! She'll be 74 on Tuesday! We were going to take her out for dinner but she wants to have something simple at her house. I put together a beautiful floral arrangement and we bought her a All-in-one printer. Thought this winter she could scan all of her old photos and we can save them to disk. She loves little projects like that, so I thought it'd keep her busy. ​

MARKY~~~ I planned on calling you but we went out yesterday afternoon and didn't get home until late. I just looked for your phone number and I can't find the magazine I wrote it down on...It may be in the recycle bin...I'll keep looking.​

YAK~~~ WOW! That breakfast sure looks good! I just had a bowl of rice chex and it was blah...your looks MUCH better...I'll leave the Tim Horton's for someone else as I am not a coffee drinker...but I will take the Diet Coke...can I get it in a caffeine free?​

Thanks for the suggestion MinnieMoo, I can turn pages while I am home from work and the middle of the night, apparently.

Sadly, my state job would frown on me using taxpayers dollars to check on my Maelstromin buddies during the day...yada yada yada...waste of gov't money...

I have a state job as well, so no Maelstromin for me during the work day either. By the time I catch up after work, it's usually pretty late.

A trip to that other place should be fun in the meantime. I'm a little behind on my trip report reading, so I better get over there and boost some of our friends up!

YAK & Sher, Love me some Donna Summer! She's a Boston girl, y'know!!! And, as I'm a (*gasp*) 1979 HS Graduate.....She was a big part of my high school years!!!! (Boy, am I old!)

GUESS who I just spoke with. Yes, Ms. Horseyponybabygirl. She was just about to get on to EE. Told me to tell everyone she'd be seeing the Yeti any minute! I told her to scope out a meeting place for us. And to say hi to the "Gorilla"! They are (still) having a blast!

It is cloudy, dreary, and rain is acomin' soon. Nice weather for a lazy Sunday. Just cleaned out both of my boys' closets. I can't believe the piles and piles and piles of clothes I am tossing.......and how little it leaves them with. Guess I have to do some back-to-school shopping, after all. It's sick. They are now BOTH wearing "men's" sizes. Very depressing.

Mark, Call me, baby. I'll be around. It would be great to talk with BOTH of you!

I am reading this TR with lots of pics of POP, which reminded me of a little tidbit of information.

The buildings at POP are painted slightly different shades from first floor to top floor, to give illusion of more height.

How about the skin tight jeans (TG I was so skinny back then!) and the super high disco shoes? And FREAK shoes. Did you have those? "Le Freak, C'est Chic!" And, of course, Saturday Night Fever, baby! Cracks me up what passed for "cool" back then! At least my prom date didn't wear a tux the color of my dress! (Just the edges of his ruffled shirt matched!)
