As a general rule, I avoid wines named for animals, reptiles, or fish. . .with an infrequent exception. . .which, of course, proves the rule. . .and we all know sher won't try a wine unless a buttload of sugar (and alcohol) are entwined in the touch o' grape. I'm thinkin' Boone's Farm laced with grape juice and diet Pepsi for her. . .

La - saw this in the Advocate online this morning and - WOW! Thought of you. You have a recipe named after you!

From The Table is Bread

Ingredients:

Deep Fried Filet Catfish
1 stick margarine
1 cup chopped onions
1 cup chopped bell pepper
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup flour
4 cups chicken stock
3 Tbls season all
1 Tbls garlic powder
1 Tbls onion powder
1 lb crawfish tails


Instructions:

In quart pan melt margarine; add onion, bell pepper, celery and garlic. Sautee 3 to 4 minutes. Add flour; cook until flour is light brown. Add 4 cups of chicken stock, season all, garlic powder and onion powder. Cook for 30 minutes. Add crawfish tails. Cook for 10 minutes. Serve over deep fried filet catfish

Ingredients:

Hi all

Just got back now from Marineland in Niagara Falls. Whew. We were there all day!

Funny you should mention Marineland. I was just looking through pictures at my Mom's last week and what should I see but photos of our trip to Niagra Falls. And among those were picts of us at Marineland. Playing with the deer. Only, Marineland was much different in the 1970's. If it is even the same place.
