At 6:58 this morning with detailed notes in hand, - speech writen out so as not to loose a second, I began to make my calls to Disney. While speaking to the recreation people to get a specialty cruise on one phone, I was trying to make my priority seatings on the other phone, and was placed on hold for a LONG time. Although I got my cruise on the first phone, I was getting pretty anxious and stressed that I won't get my ps's done for the day when a cm picked up the phone. After taking my breakfast request, while being very pleasant she was a little bit slow and did the entire rundown about non-smoking property, leave 1 hour travel time etc. When she asked if she could do anything else for me I (as quickly as I could - so as not to waste any time and loose a ps) named next resturant I needed for dinner. She took a real long time and then ask me to confirm that I was trying to book a ps for the Cave Man Cafe.

This stopped me dead in my tracks and broke me from my "7:00 am PS mode" - It gave me such a chuckle. Had I had any doubt earlier I could now tell for sure that she was not only new but that this was probably her first day on the job.

In the end, I gently repeated my request and I finally got my PS for dinner at the CAPE MAY CAFE.

Hey at least she did not tell you Cave Man Cafe did not exist....
Some humor at 7 am is good .
SO you got your speciality cruise? Thats great. I still have at least 32 days until I can make any PS but it will be a day or two later due to the dates I want to make them for. Have you eaten at Cape May for breakfast? I'm thinking about doing this as a late breakfast on our way to Epcot. We are staying at BWV so no waiting on buses to get us there.

I'm glad all you phone calls worked for you. Send left over pixie dust to those of us still needing to call....

I'll be starting my ps dialing pretty soon-thanks for the chuckle:D

No I have not yet eaten at the Cape May Cafe. From all I read on these boards, it should be wonderful. I'll be trying it for both breakfast and dinner this trip if I'm lucky.

Pixie dust to all those who yet have to make ps's. :goodvibes

That is so funny!!! :hyper:

You will enjoy dinner at Cape May. There are plenty of selections on the buffet for seafood lovers and non-seafood people. I could go for a bowl of clam chowder right now.

Hi Kapica3!

I tried for the Illuminations cruise the other morning. Got through at 7 minutes after the hour and they were already gone!

Tell me what your secret was to get through.

You can send me a pm if you like.
:D

I still have one more chance to get one for our trip. We REALLY want to do this!

Thanks,

Kimmie

Just lucky I guess, just have to keep trying. I heard that there are only 4 boats for the Illuminations cruise. I asked how many for the Fireworks cruise they said that there are more but didn't say how many.

You know "cave man cafe" is pretty funny, but I think the funniest thing here is that you were using two phones to make arrangements at the same time, LOL!!

How did you do it? Did you talk to one while the other had you on hold? What would you have done if they had both wanted to talk to you at once? :hyper:

You know I don't really know what I would have done. I had my whole "spiel" written out so I might have shoved the paper and the phone over to my 12 year old daughter to have her try to get started on the dining arrangements while I finished up with the recreation department. But mostly I just thought that I would wing it and probably be placed on hold on at least one line. Good thing I didn't have to find out. ::yes::

Great laugh!

Imagine what the Cave Man Cafe dining experience would be like? :hyper:

Sitting on a dirt floor, surrounded by animal pelts. No modern utensils, just your hands and maybe a stick. No electricity, just open flames to illuminate the place, and to cook the food (or did they not discover fire yet?). Imagine what the servers would wear in a Cave Man themed restaurant!

I used four once -- hooked up two in the house and two cell phones.
