Reaction to temperature changes

I have this problem that hasn't been diagnosed and want to share. When the temperature gets warm my hands get red, puffy, itchy and they throb. It happens to my feet too, Today was a beautiful 67 degrees for a change. The car was warm and my hands started to throb get red and itch. It drives me crazy. At home the highest I'll put the heat up to is 67 in the morning. The rest of the time 65 to 66 is comfortable. My MIL keeps hers at 74.As soon as I go into her house, my hands start. Has anyone had this or heard of it?

I actually had it happen to me the other day when it got to be about 70 out. My hands got very red and hot.

What I've read is that this is a form of Raynaud's Syndrome. Mostly what you hear about Raynaud's is that in cold weather the hands get VERY cold, lose circulation, and the fingers turn white.

Apparently, in some cases, the reverse happens and you get your symptoms.

I have something similar to this, and a dermatologist diagnosed it as a form of weather-induced hives (people gets hives from exercise too - it has to do with temperature changes). I also get pressure hives - for example, deep red welts from something as simple as the waistband of my pants (most of us get lines but mine are still visible the next day sometimes). Antihistamines and/or h2 blockers (claritin and tagamet) minimize it.

I have a form of this. Dermagraphism it is called. Any kind of pressure to my skin caused red marks that last a LONG time. Some days are better than others.
