? re using points from 2 different DVCs

I'm sure its been asked, I just can't find it.

I own 50 SSR points. I'm looking to add 50 points and am considering AKV. I am contacting DVC to do this to get the same UY that I have (August).

If I am booking any resort at 7 months can I use 100 points without needing to transfer?

I know at 11 months I will only have 50 points at whichever home resort I'm reserving, but am not sure how the 7 months reservations work if you have to different resort points (I know differnt UYs would cause other issues). I don't want to get caught up in a one transfer per year issue.

I'm just trying to have a good understanding before deciding on where to do the add-on.

yes.

even if you buy a resale with the same UY month, as long as DVC puts the contracts under the same member number (which is automatic with an add-on), you can combine pts from both contracts at the 7 month window.

you would only have issues if you had different UY months (and/or different membership numbers).

if you do this, you may want to look at banking or borrowing from one Home Resort one year, then from the next the following year. That way you can use more points for a stay at the 11mo mark and won't have to transfer. Then may be use your transfer to use up remaining points if needed.
