Re-thinking park plans....MK on a party day?

Right now, one of our MK days is the 1st day of the Halloween party. There are AM EMH that day which we plan on taking advantage of. We have a 7:45 dinner at 1900 park faire. We had an earlier ADR for the start of dinner but I moved it to later once they announced the party dates. Will I regret this? My thinking was people who don't have hoppers will be avoiding MK that day due to the party/early closing and with a late ADR, we can maximize our park time. We generally go non-stop all day and don't take mid day breaks at the hotel. If we need a break, we just grab a drink and snack somewhere that has AC.

Yes, go to MK on a party day, will be much less crowded.

Everyone says there's a difference but I honestly havent seen THAT big of a difference. it's around the same so it's up to you if you want to leave the park early instead of a full day there

We're also there for the first MNSSHP party too, I was debating if we should skip MK that day but after reading this I think we'll go.

Josh of easywdw stated that the less crowded party day theory did not hold true in 2016. For what it's worth.

On our November-December 2016, we went to MK on party days. It really wasn't bad. We arrived at RD and got to do everything we wanted, and then some.

It did start getting more crowded, and the ride times went up, around 4:15pm, though. Disney lets the party crowd in at 4pm. However, by then we were pretty much done for the day. We did some shopping on Main Street USA and then left.

I've never noticed a difference until the savvy party-goers enter early and there is an overlap between the crowd coming in and the crowd getting booted out.

We've done that exact thing for both parties.

My only caveat is that you should leave earlier.

At 4pm, party goers are allowed to enter the park. It doesn't take them long to make an almost empty park seem very, very crowded.

We make it a point to get out of the gate by 3:30. If there is a 3pm parade, leave right after it. In fact, if you can watch it from the front of the park, do that.
