We recently booked 7 dinners for our upcoming WDW trip. I'm still loving' 5 of them. The two I have questions about are:

Liberty Tree Taverne
Konah at the Polynesian

Anyone think that I need to re-think these choices?

Never eaten at Kona, but heard nothing but amazing things about it. We love Liberty Tree, too! I think your choices are fine :thumbsup2.

You'll love the Kona.. it is a must do everytime for us. Never eaten at Liberty Tavern so I can't speak to that.

Liberty Tree? Wow. My boys LOVED it. I had to come home and hunt down their pot roast recipe!

Oh my, don't rethink Kona! That's one of the best meals we've had at Disney, and one that we don't miss now.

We ate at Kona for breakfast and it was o.k.
We ate at LTT for a late lunch and it was really good!

Kona did our favourite breakfast when we went in 2007, really fresh!!
LTT was our fave MK meal AFTER EATING THERE AT mnsshp IN 2007 although I believe Disney have scrapped the character meet there now!!

Kona Cafe we loved for breakfast & dinner - I would definitely keep it.

Liberty Tree for dinner was just o.k. -- the characters were the better part of the meal. Since they cancelled the characters I doubt that we would ever go back for dinner (there's no pot roast meal at dinner, by the way. It's the "Thanksgiving" feast, served family style.) The best part of the dinner food was the dessert. Lunch may be better there since I believe you have some choices on what food to get.

For a dinner meal in the vicinity of the MK, I'd take the monorail over to the Wave at the Contemporary or the Grand Floridian Cafe for great menu choices in a nice atmosphere.

We ate at LTT for lunch back in late Sept '08 and thought it was great. Loved the food, the atmosphere and the service. May try to do it everytime we go.

We think of Kona as one of our favorites. Breakfast, lunch or dinner we've always loved it and look forward to returning each trip.:goodvibes

We are going to go to Kona for dinner for the first time and I cannot be anymore excited about this. We went there for breakfast back in 2007 and LOVED it, the Tonga Toast was really, REALLY good :lovestruc .

LTT was good, but like others have mentioned the main draw for this restaurant was the characters and they are no more :sad2: . If you were going to choose one of these ADRs to get rid of I would definately pick LTT because there are other places in MK that you can go to. Just my 2 cents :goodvibes .

Kona Cafe is very, very good.
Liberty Tree Tavern was not very good. We had dinner there when it was still a character meal. The food reminded me of one of those old Swanson's TV dinners or something... pretty mediocre. I wouldn't go back even if it were still a character meal. But I do have to say that the lunch menu does look good. We had an ADR for lunch in December but ended up grabbing a quick service that day because we just felt like something quick and simple instead so I can't really report on the lunch...

We had dinner at Kona last week....we liked it so much we cancelled one of our ADR so we could eat there again.....as far as Tonga Toast goes we had it at their quick service restaurant (Captn Cooks??) and it was much cheaper and taste the same as Kona....

We love Kona. It will be one of the first ADRs I make for the next trip. LTT I could take or leave.

Kona is GREAT! Ask for the Kona Blend coffee. It's yummy.

I have had the Captain Cook's and the Kona version of the Tonga Toast. I think I prefer the Kona version best. But, I am willing to try both until I decide. It might just take me years to answer that question.

Liberty Tree. One of my favorites, but, my wife could take it or leave it. We always eat here for the Halloween Party anyway.

I'd stay the course!

"PICK A LANE" is the motto!

Kona is one of our favorites. We eat a breakfast and dinner there every trip. I am a big fan of the Teryiaki steak for dinner and my DS and DH love the sticky wings.

We ate at Kona a few weeks ago. We both loved my Tuna Oscar entree, but the kitchen was REALLY slow that night and we didn't enjoy the other parts of our meal. The Tuna more then made up for the rest of it though.

Kona is so good. Don't think on it anymore.
