I hope I can post this.....

We had a conversation with someone who talked about selling their DVC points and asked if we were intrested. They mentioned the going rate was $100 a point for re-sale.

They have OKW and BCV points. Is that the going rate for those, I was a little caught off guard when they mentioned that amount. Doesn't the OKW points expire in 34 years? When do the BCV points expire?

I wanted to share with them realistic expectations of what they could get before they decide to sell.

$100/pt is too much. It largely depends on banked/borrowed points, contract size, and home resort.

Check out The Timeshare Store's site to give you an idea of prices. Also look at the large ROFR (right of first refusal) thread to get an idea of the actual selling price and ROFR threshold.

BCV, OKW, BWV, VWL, VB, and HH all expire in 2042. :smokin:

If you purchase thru Disney - they are charging $101 pp for BCV and $92 pp for OKW, but I know that resales on TSS are not nearly that high.

Though you will likely get a full current use year of points from Disney so be sure to take that into account when comparing resale contracts.
