Hi all!

I'm a little confused and was hoping someone could help me...

According to Randy's packages, it says you get a master cd with all your photos...which to me sounded like you get the the copyrights and can reproduce from this cd.

But on his site he has pricing for reprints...is this only if you want to have the reprints through him? Or does he hold all copyrights and the cd is just read-only?

Anyone able to straighten this out for me?

You own them all. His reprints are if he does them himself. Just keep in mind you may run into some resistence from Walmart. I had something printed there and they did not want to sell it to me. They thought that they were copyrighted. I am going to get something from Randy after the wedding to prove that I own the photos.

I was hoping that was the case.

I actually swear by Shutterfly.com (and I've seen other brides post their Randy pics on there) so I'm very excited to be able to just upload them and take it from there!

Great tip about places like Walmart being hesitant to print them...I never would have thought about that so it probably is a good idea to get something in writing just in case!

Mine are on shutterfly and I had them do the printing no problem. It's so nice getting the disk from Randy. I'm still waiting until next March when I can get my Disney disk.

Lol...Deb, you were the "other bride" I was talking about! I could tell from your pics that they were straight off a saved file (ie cd or dvd) and not scanned in.

So, what's up with getting your disk from Disney next March? Does Disney release their copyright after a set number of years?

Jennifer when you do the MK shoot you get your proofs and have to order the pictures through Disney. After 3 years you can purchase the high resolution cd for $99.00. It's a lot more money to order it right away.

I asked Ritz camera about copying from Randy's disk & they said I would need a release from him. I called Randy & he sent a letter saying that we owned all rights to the pictures. No problem. Randy was very accomadating.
