? re points and switching resorts at 7 months

I'll be booking a 2 BR at our home resort at 11 months. Then at 7 months, I'm going to try to change to another resort. Is this change possible as a modification, where I switch to the "new"resort at 7 months, without losing the resort I booked at 11 months. Unfortunately I need the points from the resort I booked at 11 months in order to book the other one at 7 months. Or do I still have to do it like I did in years past-cancel the one I booked at 11 months in order to free up those points for the resort I want to book at 7 months? The risk with having to do it that way is that things can change so quickly that I may be left with nothing-the 7 month resort gets taken in the split second I try to book it, but then when I go to get the one I'd booked at 11 months back, that's already taken also. Can I just do a one-step swap?

You can just login and go to your dashboard and modify the reservation, you can change dates and resorts (based on availability) all using the modify tool.

If you think you might want a split stay, you want to book it that way from the start, If not, you would have to cancel part of it before booking the new,

I also book like this now because it is easier if I want another resort for part of the stay...or to increase my chances of getting all the nights if I have to waitlist some.

That's what I hoped was the case! I've never used "Modify", since I wasn't sure what it means. So I could change the dates too? Like if I'm reserved for the 1st-5th, and I want to amend to the 3rd to the 8th (I'm thinking of a different stay), assuming the 6th-8th were available and within my booking window, I can do that? Or (another stay), if I was staying until the 10th, and decide to stay until the 13th, I can do that on-line? Not need to make a call? Even after almost 20 years of membership, I'm learning things! Thanks!

Yes to all those questions. No need to call. Just use the 'modify' option.
