? re parking at HRH on future visits

I stayed at HRH this past March, enjoyed it alot. Anyway, I was sure that I was told by a hotel worker that I could use my room key to park at the hotel parking lot anytime in the future, should I return. We did return to FL last week, and planned to use the old room key to park at HRH then take the boat over to the Studios. Well, we were turned away at the gate to HRH and told that this was incorrect....we could not park there. Also,on the top of the room key it does say; "Whether you're coming or going or coming back again,use this key to gain access to hotel parking!". Were we suppossed to be allowed to park there?? If so, I will call HRH and tell them that the girl at the gate turned us away

I don't doubt that you were told this but...think of all the people who stay at the HRH at some time (we have been twice). If they all wanted to park at the hotel, how could they ever have a lot that big? I know I would park there rather than the parking garage, it's a much shorter walk to the parks.

I doubt that said it that way or you misunderstood.

Your Room card is only valid for your stay at one of the three on-site hotels and can be used for FOTL access and also to raise the gate at the entrances.

Just stop and think about this. Why would your card be good for life? Because if it were valid for parking it would also be valid for FOTL and these cards would then be worth a fortune on e-bay.

The worker either misspoke, which is possible or you misunderstood. What he meant or was supposed to mean to say was that you can use your room key to park during your stay at the hotel. Especially at the HRH the gate is almost always down and there is usually a guard at the booth who checks your room key or remembers you. There is also a kiosk type machine (just like at disney- guess this also happens there) where you swipe your room card to raise the gate.
