RE: "Mommy's Little Patient Doll"...Did anyone else do this?

I said I would never do this...but...I did!
My 5-year-old DD must have seen the "Mommy's Little Patient" doll commercial serveral times. She asked for this doll a few times and I thought, yeah...OK...I'll check into that for christmas. It isn't exactly a very pretty doll/inexpensive looking. It comes with some accessories for mommy to "doctor" her sick baby. My daughter loves her little doctor/nurse kit with blood pressure cuff, stethascope (sp?), needle for shots, real bandaids for everything, etc. so, this doll was right up her alley.
Well, Thanksgiving came and went, and finally, 2 or 3 weeks ago, I started looking around for this doll. I checked store after store, and, NO DOLL. I thought, Oh No...Please don't let this be a toy that was over-advertised? and understocked or something, and, I'll HAVE TO GO ON EBAY AND BUY ONE!?!
Don't get me wrong-- I like Ebay and have purchased items, but, I said I would never buy/pay too much for a coveted doll or toy. Well, guess who went on Ebay to win an auction/with priority shipping for a "Mommy's Little Patient" doll?! I did appreciate that the seller kept her word and it arrived today in time for Christmas!!
So, I'm eating my words but happy I have this doll at the same time. I'm just wondering if anyone else out there did this?

There's many moms/dads out there that did the same thing--so many of these dolls were for sale on Ebay!
