Re-Hitching ceremony

Hey All

What is this re-hitching thingy I'm hearing about? No really I have read a little about it, but very conflicting about when they will do it. Only during lunch? During Ice cream social?, Does it have to be exactly on your anniv. (Our 11th is on the 1st full day there)

I would love to surprise my wife with this, she would love it and I am sure our 6 yr DD would get a kick out of it as well.

the re-hitchin' ceremony is at either lunch or dinner at the garden grill. not sure about the ice cream social. your server is the preacher who performs the ceremony; it is short and sweet. sometimes if you are lucky one of the characters will be an attendant. we have never been lucky. and the best part is you get to kiss to the count of 100. like this 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,20,30,40,50,60,70,80,90,100!!! and you are presented w/a cute marriage certificate. happy anniversary. BTW, when you call to book this, most likely the CM will not know what you are referring to. just make sure it is noted on the PS and make sure to mention it when you checked in for your meal.:tongue:
 
We did this for the 3:30 Ice Cream Social ($7 per person) :0
I have a pic of Farmer Mickey in the background smiling while Mr. FFerret and I smooched. Got a nice certificate.

It was wonderful--I got him completely by surprise :) :) :)

We had our Little FFerrets in tow and they were busy atending their icecream. If you go during the Social chances are it WON'T be crowded and your child will get LOADS of attention. Extra Bonus: Chip and Dale are there for the social, and are absolutely adorable in their overalls!

You have to tell them in advance when PS is made you want a Rehitchin Ceremony. If you do it during lunch or dinner you even get a little cake (we didn't for the icecream social).

OH! It does NOT have to coincide with your anniversary at all.
 
We ate at the Garden Grill about 7 years ago and I still chhhuckle at the pictures of Mickey and Minnie and Chip and Dale in the overalls.

Sad news.....the Garden Grill in the Land, will be closed from Jan. 2nd thru March. We were planning a big 50th anniversery party for the Garden Grill and learned of this sad news yesterday.

According to a CM (when I called on Saturday 9-26-04), the Garden Grill has stopped doing the rehitching ceremony (at least that is what he said when I tried to request one for early December).
 
dh and i were just married, and when we were there for the second week of June, they did it for us. it was too cute. they came and gave us a wedding cake and everything

the server came to our table and said "attention everybody" to the whole restaurant, "this couple here just got married and didn't invite any of us, so we are going to re-hitch them right here." it was too cute!!! and then gave us the re-hitched marriage certificate.

dh and i were just married, and when we were there for the second week of June, they did it for us. they still do it. i think that you just have to tell them to please make a note on your ps that it is your anniversary/honeymoon/etc. then when you get to the restaurant, tell them that you are interested in doing it, and they'll do it for you. it was too cute. they came and gave us a wedding cake and everything
