is there a site to visit to view current dvc merchandise available or is that on location only sales?::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

In looking at the pictures that Pete has posted here on this website, it looks like the SSR gift shop has lots of DVC merchandise. It may be regular Disney stuff, but looked like I was seeing some DVC logos. Not sure if this stuff is new or if we just have not seen much of it in a while.

I called them before and was told that there is no website or catalog that they offer. However, the phone number for Disney merchandising is

407-363-6200

you need to know what you are looking for and they charge $8 something for shipping.

I thought i heard some of the DVC shops were starting to carry some new items such as car decals, etc.?

That's correct. When taking the tour last week we noticed the gift shop at SSR had quite a large collection of DVC merchandise.

I did see card decals recently but they were like $8.00, pricey for what you get I thought. I picked up a member magnet. They also had mugs, note cubes, license plates in addition to shirts & jackets.

Do they give you any merchandise when you buy your DVC?

sometimes. I received a nice canvas tote bag back in 92 and Dee received one also in 97, then for his add on a nice print.
They were also giving out backpacks for awhile.
Depends on what they decide to offer, if anything.

at Espn with my beautiful guide(shooooch don't tell my wife)

SSR had about two or three different kinds of things with DVC logo: t-shirts, a denim shirt, a nice windbreaker jacket, a hat or two, maybe viser, I think maybe a polo shirt. There might have been a couple more things, but there really wasn't alot. I did see some window decals and a few other things like that. I purchased a SSR t-shirt.

We got the DVC pens that we signed our contracts with, lithos for some of the resorts, and lunch at Spoodles. The kids got balloons, balls, stickers and other little promo things. Over the years, going to member updates, we've gotten hats, mousepads, can coolers, and at HH on one accasion I got a nice DVC HH beach totebag. We've gotten pins when we've visited open huses at the newer resorts. When VWL opened, they mailed us a VWL pin. After 9/11, we received by mail a couple of mickey head flag pins, similar to ones sold, but with more stripes and an inscription. We've bought shirts, jackets, tags, tag holders, mugs, glasses, and more points. We've had our pockets filled with taffy at BW at the sales center.

They have a DVC decal for eight dollars. I want the decal. I've walked away from it a couple of times already because I just can't seem to make myself pay eight bucks for this! Maybe next trip....

I still want the DVC mousepad that they use at the front desk at OKW. They may use elsewhere, too, but have only noticed at OKW.

I also need a new license plate for the front of my car, so don't you guys buy them all before I get there in early June.
;) ;) ;)

I got a rock. lol

I guess that is the difference when joining in person like you versus through the mail like I did. We did not do a tour but joined after I stayed in a BWV studio with a friend and fell in love with the resort. My husband agreed without ever having taken the tour and we don't regret our decision in the least. :) I still would love to have that litho though. :)

I have always thought that DVC merchandise was a marketing/sales opportunity that WDW was missing almost completely. I have never felt that there is an extensive selection of stuff with the DVC logo on it, and it amazes me!!!!!

DH has a couple of older DVC shiorts, and whenever he wears them, people always stop and ask about the DVC, especially when we are in WDW.

It has the 3 components Disney LOVES...marketing, sales, and income. I can't understand why they're not tapping it more!
