I am not a regular to these boards but I am a very good friend of Caroline and I know this is the board she frequents the most.
As you all know she was at WDW with another teacher friend of hers for the Memorial Day weekend.
She arrived home and circled the airport a few times and finally landed in CT at 4 pm.
At 4:25 pm the tornados hit her town.
Her house was saved, and her sister's house where her 99 year old mother lives had no damage. 3 homes down from her sister's home was where the damage began.
I saw a new report and recognized the name of the street and when I spoke to her today she told me it was the street where the funeral home is where she had Roger's funeral.
She has power in her home and her sister and BIL and mother are there now with her safe and sound.
School was cancelled for Thurs and Friday and they haven't heard if there will be problems for the next week but I can imagine there will be since some of the buildings directly across the street from one school must be demolished next week.
She has power but no internet and very spotty reception on her phone. I called her a few times before I got through and she finally was able to call me back tonight at around 9 pm.
So say a prayer for her neighbors in Srpingfield where she teaches and hope that they can pull the town up through this disaster.
She did ask me to say hi to everyone and she will be on line as soon as she can to let you all know that she is safe.
