We are planning to purchase pts for the Boardwalk Villas 1 bedrm. We will probably go in June. If we purchase 150 pts and the 1 bedrm is 206 pts, I assume we must borrow from the next year. What if we want to pay cash or charge our credit card for the difference. Can we do that instead?

Also, if we borrow the pts for the next year, we would have to continually borrow every year, right?

Finally, if we choose to purchase more pts in the future, do we have to purchase them from Disney and if so, do we get them at the "sale" price they're offering us now?

borrowing is the easy way. you cannot combine pts and cash for a single night, but if there is availability, you can book cash nights through MS and have them link the reservations.

the next year, you would only have 94 pts (150 pts less the 56 you borrowed), so you would need to borrow 112 pts to make the same reservation. eventually you would run out of pts and need to take a year off, or add-on more pts or book a cash-only reservation.

Finally, if we choose to purchase more pts in the future, do we have to purchase them from Disney and if so, do we get them at the "sale" price they're offering us now?

resale is generally smarter/cheaper. i would recommend looking hard at resale before you make your first purchase.

if you buy direct, you would buy at whatever price was available then...the prices now would NOT matter a bit.

No, you don't have to buy them from Disney, resale is a great option.

That "sale" price will vanish if it is even a sale. They may or may not have incentives in the future, usually those are reserved for the newer resorts they are pushing, like AKV and Aulani.

May I ask what the price they quoted you? BWV is currently selling for $115 per point. BTW, BWV reasle is selling for roughly half that price.

You can rent extra points from existing members,Davids,or TSS store. Have them transfer points to your account so you can have control of them. You can also rent points from disney at $15.00 a point but you can only rent up to 24 points ( 7 months in advance of your ressie) .
