? Re booking flights through Southwest Airlines

Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone knows about when/how often Southwest opens up their schedules....I saw today they opened flight schedules through Sept. 12, but I am needing Sept. 16th-23rd....scared to death I will miss out and I want to make sure I book first thing, but I have no idea when or how often they continue opening their schedules...Any advice or tips would be great.

We have been waiting for the end of August beginning of September to open up for what seems like forever. Schedules open up at 11 EST if they do release them, and going by what we were told by Southwest never happen on weekends. I would say just check their site or call around 11 every day or as often as you can. Good Luck!!!

I don't know when they will open it, but make sure you download DING from their website and sign up for their emails. I got a DING telling me that the schedule was opened up through 9/12.

I am in the same boat as the OP... We are going down Sept 17th - 23rd. I have been checking their flight schedules almost daily for over a month!!! My DH is driving me crazy!!!! He justs wants to book our flights and be done with it. I want to wait for SW flights to be available because they usually offer non-stop flights from my area and with a 1 & 2 year old a non stop would be much better for us. I hope they open up the rest of Sept soon!!!

I just started with DING. As another poster said, go to their main site and sign up for email updates. I get them all the time. It's really helpful and constantly check your dates!

Southwest drives me crazy with their small booking window. We have traveled with them many times and never had any problems booking. Sounds like you are on top of things you'll be ok!
