Re-allocation question

I've got a 59 point reservation at a BCV studio in the beginning of March. Since I own at VWL with an August UY, I booked after the 7 month window using 40 points from my 2009 UY and 19 points borrowed from 2010.

Here's the question: If I found someone in the next few months who had points that had to be used by the end of March willing to transfer them, would I be able to use those transferred points toward the reservation in order to bank the 2009 UY points?

Only if there wasn't a wait list for the reservation you have at the BCV. Basically, you cancel and rebook.

I have been able to have points reallocated when I have made the reservations after 7 months. I would not say it's guaranteed but rather it should be possible.

As Deb said, you technically have to cancel and rebook so their has to be availability.

This is what I was told. The fact that it was not booked with during the 7 - 11 month window was why they could just switch points around.

Now, I was asking about switching out borrowed points from a cancelled reservation so I don't know if that makes a difference, but I thought they would allow you to free up current UY points if you had other points to take there place.

Certainly, worth a call to MS to ask. Good luck!
