RCI Re-Trade for SSR

Along with DVC, I also own a week at Hanalei Bay Resort in Hawaii that I can trade for DVC through RCI. I just traded a HBR week for a 1bedroom at SSR for 1/23-1/30 and already have a 1bedroom booked 1/31-2/7 at SSR. Is it possible to switch the 1/23 week to a 1/24 week at SSR should it become available to have the contiguous two weeks? I did purchase the insurance for $59. Thanks

I have some points I could use too, I just would rather have the week of the 24 since we are driving down from NY and would need to check in super late as opposed to spending the night in SC to break up the trip. Thanks

I think (not 100% sure) you loose the exchange fee in RCI, so even if the week you want becomes available, you still have to pay another $209 exchange fee. It would probably work out better just to pay cash for the night between the two reservations (or use use your points). Not only does that alleviate the headache of making the change, that would also give you the ability to check in late on the 23rd or anytime on the 24th.
