We have some points that we are going to lose if we don't use them by next Aug. A friend of ours told my hubby that they had a similar situation but didn't lose the points because they did something through RCI. They said the points don't expire for 3 years.

I have no idea about this at all, had never even heard of it before so if the above makes no sense, I apologize....just relaying what my hubby told me our friend said.

Anyone have any info???

You can do a deposit first with RCI. That will give you 2 years from the date of the week RCI gets to complete your travel. If you decide to take this route, you really need to deposit either 160 or 270 points to have access to 1 & 2 BR high demand times. I'd rather see you rent them out or use them for other options like a cruise or Concierge collection and consider an RCI deposit first as a last resort.

We did this and are having a hard time trying to get to use it when we want, might have to settle on something else. I do not think I would make this choice again.
