if i have another time share (HGV) which also uses RCI, would it be possible to use both DVC & HGV for a single booking thru RCI?

No. You can only use DVC through DVC. You could potentially use each one for only a few days but you'd have separate reservations and likely two housekeeping fees on top of the exchange fees.
