RCI points Questions

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I figure it would be a good place to start....

I have friends that have told me I could use RCI points for a trip for DD and I to go to WDW and I'm trying to figure out HOW it would be done, IF it could be done and what tips/tricks people might have? How would dining plan work? I only would need studio or 1 BR as it will be just DD and I. I really do want onsite for our special trip.

As long as you do not have an ownership at an Orlando-area resort in your Points account, you can, subject to availability. It takes a little bit of patience and some diligence on your part---I think most Points owners search online fairly frequently.

I would discourage a studio if you can help it. To truly be successful you need to plan at least 7-10 months out, be willing to accept any DVC resort, be willing to accept less than a 2 BR and not be looking at highest demand times. Not that you can't sometimes be successful outside these parameter (many have including myself) but that it reduces your chances significantly. I don't think BLT has generally been deposited thus far, SSR and OKW are by far the most likely to come up. If you won't have a car I'd steer you to SSR over OKW, otherwise I don't think it matters much.
