RCI Platinum Question

Hello all. I am staying at HI Orange Lake at Christmas. It was booked through RCI and we are platinum members. Do you know if upgrades are granted at HI OL? I'm hoping to switch to the newest part of OL.

Also, is OL River Island also considered HI OL North?

Hi there, NO you won't be upgraded to River Island. If your reservation through RCI says Holiday Inn Club Vacations Orange Lake North Village you are in North Village. The only upgrade you may possibly get is from a 1 bdrm to a 2bdrm or a 2 bdrm to a 3bdrm. That being said, there is a free shuttle all around the resort. If you have young kids the North Village is nice, and their swimming area is great you can still go to River Island. I actually prefer the rooms in West Village myself, I like the drive up units. You park at your door and walk in.

Oh, that's great. We are in West Village. I like the drive up as well and am hopeful to be close to a pool. We have a 2 bedroom, 1 bedroom, and a studio. The people staying in the studio are elderly and have mobility issues. I'm trying to make it as easy as possible.

The studio's and 1 bdrm units are all in the main clubhouse. The 2 bdrms will usually be drive up units or you can ask to be in the tennis villas. Which would be beside the main clubhouse. Which might be best because you will be spread out otherwise. West village is very big.
