Rci Hawaii success

We have some points we will be lodging with rci. I would like to use the points for a Hilton property, hopefully for hawaii, for thanksgiving 2012. Has anyone else had success for a request such as this? Anyone ever requested new York Hilton?

Hawaii is hard to get. We currently have a reservation Oct 16-23 at Maui Kaanapali Beach Club for a one bedroom and are possibly going to have to cancel it. I have tried to move the reservations but nothing is open through spring. I would put a waitlist on right now for Thanksgiving 2012.

Thank you for the information. When II was still around we requested the Westin Maui about seven months out. Our request was filled in two weeks. I was so surprised. Maybe it was just luck.

I have a request in with RCI directly (not using DVC) with a stronger deposit than DVC and have all Hilton's listed for next summer. Nothing has come up so far but hilton tends to deposit more in the 6 months out range.

Interesting. I think it would be pretty hard for us to plan a trip in less than six months. I would love to go to Hawaii though. Geez, what vacation to hope for.....
