RCI and Vistana Resort ??

Can someone tell me if certain buildings at the resort are designated for RCI or can I request to be in any of the buildings? We will be staying 6/15 - 22nd. We will have three condos and would like to stay together. It would be great to be by the pool area since we will have children with us. Any suggestions? Also, can someone give me more info on diamond lane check in? Thank you.

we stayed at Vistana Resort through an exchange and they told us that there are specific units that are designated for certain check in-check out days ... For instance ( I'm guessing here) if you check in on Sunday you stay in the Springs section, Saturday - Cascades. If you go to their website there use to be a map and it was coded each day of the week was represented by a different color and that could give you some kind of idea as to where you may be placed. If all else fails ask when you get to the check in desk to be in a specific building . You can also go to the website and do Diamond Lane Check in (I recommend this if they still do it). It lets you put in your room requests.

It's possible to exchange into any section, however, they give preference for each section to the owners who own in that section. When we exchanged into Vistana Resort, we used the Diamond Lane Check-in to make our advance requests. Just go to the Vistana Resort website and click on Diamond Lane Check-in at the bottom. When the new window opens, use your RCI account number for the Reservation Number requested.

We asked for two 2BR villas with no stairs, inside or out, due to a medical/knee problem and close to a pool area. We were traveling with another family. They assigned us two villas on the same floor (4th?) of a building in the Lakes section, with elevators, across the road from the nearest pools. Very accommodating.

Btw, there are many nice pools there - try a few during your visit. We really enjoyed that vacation and would definitely go back. Hope this helps.
