Hello
I have friends that want to go to an all inclusive resort like Beaches, Turks....

If paying with points, are there additional fees for the all-inclusive portion of the stay?
Has anyone vacationed at any of these resorts?
Sorry to sound naive, i haven't explored any of the RCI Timeshare options.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

yes. typically about as much as the normal cost of booking the all-inclusive without giving up your timeshare.

here are a couple of recent threads for more info:

Thanks for the information! I did a search in this section of the boards, didn't check out DVC resorts section. ..and Yikes! I agree with Dean.... The cost of the all inclusive fees are steep. I'll look for other options.

Thanks again!:thumbsup2

If you go to the DVC RCI website, the all inclusive resorts have a M on their page and a tab once you're in the resort page that tells you what the all inclusive fee is. I'm planning a trip to Aruba, Acapulco, or Cancun in the near future so I've been looking at the RCI properties. I was looking at the AI in Cancun and I only found one resort where the AI fee was $79 per person per night. All the others were $2-4K and you paid that fee whether you were in a double or a single. I guess I'm not going to Cancun!(Acapulco is my top choice anyway)

All that aside, years ago I stayed at Beaches Negril and it was soooo worth the price. There's a lot to be said about AI. I still want to go to Beaches Turks & Caicos, but keep putting it off because it's about $4500 for a basic room with no view for a week. I should have gone years ago when it was much cheaper.

There are a few that have optional AI's but also have different exchange codes with mandatory AI as well, but the prices tend to be the same. One can often find a deal with air and everything for the AI price. I certainly wouldn't give up valuable DVC points for an AI. Another option is to rent directly from an owner as many of the AI's have lower fees for owners and guests of owners as well. To date I have not seen an AI or any MX resort that is a reasonable DVC trade. However, like using DVC points for DCL or other cash type exchanges, there may be an occasional exception, just look carefully before committing to an AI regardless of through DVC or otherwise.
