Ravens or Colts?

The Ravens, but, only b/c I don't want to have to live with dh if they lose!

Go Ravens

I so hope they win, and I don't even like foot ball. I think it would be so fitting to see the Ravens beat the Colts here in Baltimore. The only thing better would have been if Bob Irsay was still alive to see it. I think this would go far to help erase the memory of those Mayflower moving vans that skulked out of town in the middle of the night.

I totally understand how it must stink to have your team moved without any notice. I can't imagine it. However, I always find it amusing when the Ravens complain because of how Baltimore got it's current team. Everyone seems to forget that the Ravens are the Cleveland Browns. The only difference is that Cleveland was able to keep the Browns name and their records.

Go Colts.

The Ravens are EVIL.

Go Ravens!!!

It was so cool working in the city today- purple EVERYWHERE! Employers were encouraged to let their employees show their Ravens pride- it seemed as though everyone out was in jeans and Ravens jerseys!

I personally, (admittedly I'm not much of a sports fan), find the whole Colts Ravens thing funny too, considering that the "team" is nothing more than a label, or a brand name, because not a single one of those people from 1984 are still playing for the Colts today. Although, when I did bring this up to die hard sports fans, I was informed that the owner is still the same.

I know. Very ironic. :lmao: But there was one big difference. The Browns were very honest about the fact that they were leaving, looking for a new home, etc. Baltimore didn't steal" them, although I am sure there are Clevelanders that would differ. And as you said, Cleveland got to keep the name. Irsay snuck the Colts out in the middle of the night after denying that he was planning on moving them to a new state. Even Irsay's son says it was handled poorly.
And, he took all the Baltimore Colts memorabilia (Johnny Unitas stuff, etc.) with him.

Actually, it is his son. Bob Irsay died a while ago.

There was an interview with a Colt that I heard about on the radio. Someone was asking him about the Colts controversy. He said something about he was only 1 year old when it happened, so it means nothing to him. Understandably. :rotfl:

:rotfl: My sister goes to college up there. she says it gets kinda scary around game days. She wants to cover up the Maryland license plate.

That was before my time of being a football fan, but I agree, it was handled very poorly. I wish the Colts had always been in Indy. Oh well, I will always bleed blue!:cheer2: :cheer2:

That's why I don't want either team to win. I was born and raised in Baltimore. I hate that the Colts were stolen and I refuse to root for the Ravens since we did the same thing to Cleveland. A pox on both their houses!
