I was so disappointed to learn that the Give a Day, Get a Day promotion was over. My family thought this was a great idea and wanted to take advantage of it for our upcoming trip. Unfortunately, when I went to find out how to submit our charity and volunteer time, it was unavailable.

What a bummer! Oh, well. We will continue to instill the value of helping others regardless of the promotion. Plus, we will still enjoy a great visit to our Happiest Place on Earth.

missed it by *that* much, lol.

Actually, you missed it by about 1/2 a year...they filled all the available volunteer slots months ago. It was way more successful than they thought it would be (believe they agreed to offer 1 million vouchers...and they were gone in less than 3 months)

Bummer though, I'm sure you're not alone. There were a lot of people who were disappointed right when they shut down the sign-up.

But the up-side is, a million volunteer efforts were made:banana:

Wow! I had no idea that we missed it by that much. I could swear we just hear/saw an advertisement for it this summer.

You are correct about the real focus on the positive is that people were willing to volunteer to help others. I am glad there was such a good response. With all of the challenges going on in the world, we count ourselves very fortunate to be able to go to Disney.

Love your attitude, and have a wonderful vacation at Disney!

I also recently saw a commercial with it and thought it was still going on and didn't know it wasn't until I came unto these boards. Next year I will be sure to take advantage of their new promotion as soon as possible if eligible. :)
