What does everybody think the rates will be for Jan of 2006? Will there be regular AP rates available without using the Best available rate program? Will there be any codes for the general public?

Maybe rack rates but with free dining? The gas crunch is hurting allot of people so business may be a little off.

What do you think will there be any incentives?

When I went in January 2004, I had to pay rack rates, but it was value season and we picked a standard view room at WL, so we weren't hurting too badly.

I bet the free dining package is never offered again. I can't see how Disney is making anything off that, and I could certainly how they could be taking a huge financial hit with it. After all, the value season rack rate is not much more than the room discounts you might otherwise get. Also, Disney is not out money when a room goes empty, but they are certainly out money by giving people away food that they have to buy.

The gas crunch is hurting people, but it doesn't seem to be affecting travel at all. The tourism numbers this year are through the roof.

I'd probably try for that AP discount, if you can get one. It's probably your best bet.

I've been wondering the same thing. Just to be safe, I was able to get enough people for a group rate at the Poly in Jan. We got GVC for $330 a night. This is during the marathon week, so I was worried that the Poly would be blocked from AP rates that weekend.

Good luck to ya!!
