Is it normal, that the rates for the onsite-hotels are that cheap??

A friend of mine an me we wanted to go this year in August to Orlando for 2 weeks, 1 week a Disney-Resort and the rest of the stay at a Universal-Resort.

Now plans have changed and we are going in September 2013, because of my school in the evenings. Flights during the german summer vacation are VERY expensive.

So i just checked the rates for September 2012 for getting a clue how much it could be during this season.

And I found out:
120 $ (tax incl.) for a Club Room per night/per person at the Royal Pacific Resort when we stay 7 nights.
Regular room 85 $.

Well. Is that the normal rate????
Thats CHEAP I think.

Hard Rock: 130 $ for Club Room

I am a little bit overwhelmed by those cheap rates.

Can anyone post a link to a review of those club rooms?
Is it worth the money?

Thank you and greetings from raaaainy Siegen in Germany

Wow, no, that's definitely not in line what we paid last September. We had 169 and 199 (pre-tax) for our very normal, non-view, rooms at Portofino.

(hmm, our APs expire in later September, wonder if I could squeeze a third visit out of them, if those are the rates they show?)

editing to add: what dates are you looking at? I can't find such low rates. What site are you using?

Ah, yes, using a European travel agency makes sense. Take advantage of it! People in countries outside the States can get great deals we cannot get. :)

club rooms are identical to the regular rooms.
when you are on the club (7th floor), you have access to the club lounge.
food in the evening and breakfast, snacks during the day, soda & water anytime, etc.

if you are on all other floors, no club lounge access for you.

macraven, you seem to live at Universal :thumbsup2
(...but your profile says you live between Chicago and Milwaukee, that remembers me of Dr. Green in "Emergency Room")

just checked the rates again for fun for September.
HRH is now almost as cheap as RPR.
the difference between RPR Club and HRH Club is now only 27 $ in total (!!!!).

hope that I will get those rates in 2013

i'm right behind you in checking rates for each year.
it's an ongoing job for me...

The link isnt working. Are you sure the price is per room? European TA's usually quote per person based on double occupancy.
