Hi, it's been about 17 years since I've flown - and never planned it myself. Is $176 a decent price r/t from Philly to MCO. Also, it seems that all the flights are either around 6:30am (which means we'll have to be up at 3:30am, what a way to start vacation) or around 7pm. These flights were United or USAir. We are planning on going Sun. 11/13 and returning Sat. 11/19. Are these normal times for weekend flights? I am considering taking an afternoon/evening flight on Saturday even though I'd planned to leave Sunday. Any info or advice would be appreciated. As if you can't tell, 1st trip to WDW! :confused3

Southwest has seven flights on Saturday and six on Sunday (using the current schedule) from PHL to MCO. They have a flight which leaves PHL at 11:10 and arrives in MCO at 1:45, which I think is ideal because it doesn't force you to get up too early and you still have the late afternoon and evening to do something in WDW.

When we flew Southwest to MCO last year, the price was $79 each way. A month or so after we booked the flight, they had a sale, $49 each way, and SWA refunded me the difference.

You can review the schedule (November won't be available for a few months, but I don't think the schedule changes) at www.southwest.com, click on "SCHEDULES" then choose the cities and date.

Thanks for the info on Sw - the times sound much better. Is SW the one where you can't gets your seats arranged ahead of time?

Yes, that's the one. If you have kids under 5 you can preboard (but I've read here that this policy may change in the future). You can also get your boarding passes online after midnight the night before you're leaving. If you do this as close to 12:01 AM as possible, you'll usually get "A" boarding passes, which get you on the plane right after the preboarders.
