Rates and codes questions

We are looking to go in August for a deluxe hotel experience. We don't care if it is MK, AK or Epcot area hotels, just looking for the best rate for a deluxe. The rate listed for anyone to use is $139 for Swan and Dolphin. Is this a good rate when comparing to an AP rate or codes that could come out for the Disney deluxe hotels? I think you need to book by April 15th to get this rate. Does anyone know the cancellation policy for the S&D? If a better code or rate for Disney hotels come out will I be able to cancel this one?

We've never booked the Swan/Dolphin through DU; however, booking straight through Starwood, I believe (and I could be wrong) that the cancellation policy was five days prior with no penalty. I believe that Wilderness Lodge can be had for 149.00/night fairly regularly with a code/AP. AKL is a little higher, and all of the other Deluxes considerably higher. I would suggest booking and then transferring if you so decide. Good luck
