Mickey's Philharmagic -- 5++!!! We loved this show! My DD6 wanted to do it over & over. I have to say that my DS, who'd just turned 3, wouldn't wear the glasses after about 2 times. He would jump every time the champagne corks popped - not scared, just startled.

Turtle Talk -- haven't seen this one yet, but can't wait!

Playhouse Disney - For 2 year olds, I'd have to give it a 5. DS was 15months the first time we did this one & he loved it even then. Both of my kids dance & sing along. When you think about it, toddlers know these characters and shows better than they know classic Disney.

Voyage of the Little Mermaid - 4. We really like this one. At 15 months, DS watched the whole thing. But at 3, he was a little frightened by Ursula.

Beauty & the Beast Live on Stage - 4. This is one of my favorites. I love the music, the costumes, the story. I just wish they still had the doves at the end. For me, this is a can't miss. Both of my kids really enjoy it, but it didn't captivate them yet.

Festival of the Lion King - Another 5+++! This is my absolute favorite show in the "world"! And my kids adored it! They know the songs and there is practically non-stop action. I simply can't recommend this show enough!

Tarzan Rocks - Sorry to say, but I give this a 1. We stood in line to see this in '02. DD was 4 & DS 15mon. Even with all of the music and action, they both fell asleep. It just didn't capture their interest at all. They didn't even want to go back to see it last year. Fine by us, as we didn't like it that much either. BUT, since it's going away early next year, you should decide for yourself if you want to catch it before it's gone.

A show you didn't mention, but that my kids liked is the Flights of Wonder bird show in AK. I would rate it a 3, so I wouldn't kill myself to fit it into the schedule. But, if you're there at the right time, it's worth seeing.

Have fun!
Christy

From two females, ages 35 and 32:

Mickey's PhilharMagic - MK - 5
Turtle Talk with Crush - Epcot - never seen it but want to
Playhouse Disney - MGM - never seen it
Voyage of the Little Mermaid - MGM - 4 (it has FP, so no reason to stand in line)
Beauty and the Beast Live - MGM - 2 - I didn't know a lot of the stuff incorporated from BatB sequels
Festival of the Lion King - AK - 5
Tarzan Rocks - AK - 4 (especially since it's closing in 2006)

Mickey's PhilharMagic - MK -5
Must see. This is a FP. You should not have a problem seeing it. It is ina 3d theater and the children may get scared if they are afraid of the dark. Runs throughout the day repeatedly.

Turtle Talk with Crush - Epcot - 5
Must see. This is terrific. We don't even have kids and we went twice. Everyone loved it in the theater. Kids, adults. It's great. Runs throughout the day also.

Playhouse Disney - MGM - ?
Never seen it, but if your kids like these characters, I think they'll like it. I think this one has specific times.

Voyage of the Little Mermaid - MGM - 5
Must see if you have Ariel fans. A cute show, we really liked it. Noticed some kids getting scared in the darkened theater. Also FP. Also runs all day.

Beauty and the Beast Live - MGM - 4
Has set times. Okay but some parts might scare the kids. I personally don't think it's a must see, but some people love it. It's good, but I'm not heartbroken if I skip it.

Festival of the Lion King - AK - 5
Must see. Excellent for kids, very bright and fun. We loved it.

Tarzan Rocks - AK - 2.5
Honestly, not that great. I mean, I appreciate the acrobats and skaters but this whole show just never made much sense to me. However, we noticed a little boy sitting near us who was mesmerized and happy whenever a performer came by our row and high fived him.

All three parks also have nighttime shows involving music and fireworks. the one at MGM is the best and it also involves a lot of the characters. However, with all of these, certain parts of darkness and loud noises may scare kids.

Mickey's PhilharMagic - MK - 5, easy. Absolutely unmissable.

Playhouse Disney - MGM - 3. Do this if you have a toddler, otherwise skip it. It was fun enough but could have used a little...I don't know, something extra.

Festival of the Lion King - AK - 5. Another unmissable show. My 2 year-old adored this show. The look on her face was enough to make me cry.

Tarzan Rocks - AK - 1. Awful. Really, really awful. I would avoid at all costs, but if you like Phil Collins it might be bearable.
