Rate the Ride: INDY

I think that this is a cool attraction. The queue is great, and the theming is terrific. The ride itself seems to me a little less than it once was, but is still a fun experience. The jeep transports are bumpy and jerky at times. Lots of dark spaces inside. The background music/sound effects are good. I love driving across the bridge, and kind of getting stuck. The fire effects are cool. And diving under the rolling boulder at the end is always fun.

All I can say is that INDY is one of my most favorite rides; I loved IJA the very first time I rode it. The 2nd and 3rd times were just as great!
P.S. Even though INDY is one of the GREATEST rides don't ride after eating; I learned the hard way and felt pretty crummy afterwards.

I'm probably in the minority, but I can take it or leave it. It's a bumpy jeep ride in the dark, and can give you a pretty bad headache/neck ache if you aren't prepared. The que is awesome and the theming is great, I just never have it on my personal must do list. I'd rather be on BTMRR or Splash for thrills.

I love this ride. One of my all time favorites. I don't find it rough at all..a little jerky and bumpy but FUN. And we did get stuck once right where the 'ball' is getting ready to roll on you. Super ride.

Hands down, my favorite ride at DLR. The combination of thrills and detailed scenery and intriquite queue line. I love it!

Me too. I usually skip it even though I enjoy the theming. I also remember it being too loud for my taste. I feel the same way about the dinosaur ride at WDW.

The ride is one that I usually only ride once a trip. I love the theming, but it is just far too jerky for me. I spend the entire ride focusing on HOLDING ON, vs. enjoying it all.

this ride was OK for me, but a little to "jerky"...wouldn't wait in a long ride to ride it again~

Indy is in my top two with POTC. The jerkiness can hurt a little, but I'll take the pain!

I'll never forget the first time my DH and I rode it. He literally pushed my head down because he thought I was going to get hit with the "blow darts" (or whatever those air things are supposed to represent). Like Disney was going to kill me or something. He's dopey like that, but I love him. :upsidedow

I'm such a big chicken! I still can't keep my eyes open for this ride (do not like skeletons popping out at me).

But keep in mind I have yet to ride HM with my eyes open and when I was 18, I got made fun of by some old ladies because I screamed during Snow White's Scary Adventure. Guess I'm just a big goof ball! :lmao:

This is my FAVORITE ride!!! I love it so much I named my dog Indiana after Indiana Jones, the ride at Disneyland. (I've explained her name a lot!)

I've only ridden this ride once, as when we go to Disneyland, we have our kids with us, who are two young to ride. This means dh and I have to take turns, and each go alone.

When I went on it, it was totally fun and thrilling. I can remember screaming at one point, probably when the giant stone is rolling at us. When my group and I were getting off the ride, the others in the group were laughing (in a nice way) about me screaming. I can't wait to ride it again in June!

i've read that it's comparable to the ride vehicle intensity @ Dinosaur ride/AK; which is too rough for my bad neck...however, i've just got to experience it @ DL:)

wondering if the release of the movie in May (?) will make it more popular/longer lines?popcorn::

We named our new Maine Coon cat Indiana.

Indy, without a doubt, is my favorite Disney attraction. Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom just doesn't do it for me, even though it's the same ride vehicle and basically the same track layout.

Great ride! My DD (she is pretty tiny) found it a little jerky but other than that, she enjoyed it as did the rest of the family. Many years back when I rode it for the first time, our entire party (before kids) went on it about 4x in a row we enjoyed it so much. Wouldn't do that anymore but I still give it a thumbs-up! :thumbsup2

For this trip, our 7 year old son is finally tall enough to go on Indy and we are sooooo excited!! WE love the walk to the ride, the atmosphere is so cool.
LOVE THIS RIDE!:yay: :woohoo:
