Aside from the website being soo slow, I'm addicted to rating peoples space, like I'm some pro or something :)

If you have an HGTV account at www.hgtv.com/ratemyspace I've taken the plunge and uploaded 2 spaces under tracylovesdisney

Share yours here if you have them :)

I wont share.... My aparment is furnished in early american college student. It looks bad, not to mention theres this little problem of my pets (hamster, cats, and frogs) overuning my space.

Thanks :) Everything we've done has been so budget oriented you wouldn't believe it...lol.
We've even added our new daughters room (almost done) which included building the room (walls, drywall, insulation etc), closet and door for only a couple hundred dollars...
I'm going to post a couple places in my house there for ideas, because I'm at a loss on how to do my kitchen, on a budget of course :)

Well, I can offer up some kitchen suggestions: Postcards in frames make great art or backsplashes, Bottles make great hold its. Try picking up a copy of one of those discount design type magizines at the cash register area at walmart. Those are great for ideas (or check out back issues at the libary). Also try http://www.craftster.org/forum/ for ideas. Spray paint is your best freind rember that! If you spray paint funiture and stuff you can change it cheaply if you change your mind. I did this with my kitchen table which has been changed now..... Too many times to count.

Oh, I'd believe it! My family calls me Robin VILA! I do a lot of VERY budget minded redecorating, and believe me, I spend as little as I can.

Proof positive, my son gave me a HOME DEPOT gift card for Mother's Day! :thumbsup2

I did my sister's kitchen by painting her cabinets and replacing the hardware. I found the hardware on EBAY! They were selling for $1 apiece the same exact pulls Home Depot had for $7 apiece. That makes a major difference when you're buying a lot of them.

We found an amazing refrigerator at a second hand appliance store with water and ice in the door and splurged on the dishwasher. It looks like a brand new place!

Oh, I need to check ebay for cabinet hardware then!! I know that makes a world of difference. Our kitchen is the first place we said we'd work on, and we've touched every room of the house but the kitchen.. LOL

Our master bath will be next. It is actually only insulated and half drywalled right now. It's adjacent to the laundry room, and there are pipes so low on the ceiling I"m not sure what we'll do with that. The good part is, we do have the essentials (tub, sink, toilet) in and working.... but there are no walls between the laundry and bath, just the door from our bedroom. The ceiling is going to be our stumping point.... And, what kind of room to place with a sunshine yellow clawfoot tub (we're thinking more grownup nautical)...

LOVE the nursery.

On the kitchen first thing I would do would be new pulls and knobs- cheap and would update those cabinets right away. Other than that I'm not much help on the remodel cheap. I have terrible taste.

Neat idea about the postcards!
I have spray painted our fireplace mantle with that crackle stone color, and we spraypainted my daughters brass ceiling fan black :)
Wish I could spraypaint my kitchen counters, DBF says NO way...lol

Yeah, i'm really going to look into knobs!! The wood isn't a bad wood, its just lighter than we like for the rest of the house. And, they are cheap.. lol

Yea we had a lovely kitchen bar which had a nice overhang, which we decided to do up with post cards. Looked so cool and the postcards were free. I got Paris ones from another disboarder.

Ok I guess I can share my space (please dont rate it lol). Its the way it looked before I moved things around.

It was a lovly 90 dollar set that I got for 30 when linnens and things went out of buiness. It came with the pillows on the bed too (and it helps that it matches monkeee's fur).

If I ever find my postcards for Paris I will pass them on to you. Alot of them were disney (and so friggen pretty). I dont need them anymore
