Rate my ADR's!!

Ok, I have been tweaking and moving things around for so long now, my head is spinning. Here is my list so far, tell me what you think, I have to cancel 1 TS (we are on the DDP):

Sci-Fi Lunch

Hollywood N' Vine Lunch (thinking of cancelling)

Crystal Palace Breakfast
Garden Grill Dinner
Tusker House Breakfast

I would cancel the Hollywood and Vine. This was my least favorite.

Tusker House Lunch - Never tried
T-Rex Dinner - Never tried. Planning for June 2010
Akershus Breakfast - My Daughter Loved This!! the characters are so sweet and the food is good.
Chef Mickey's Dinner - This is a must do at least once. I don't plan to return but I'm glad I did it once.
Sci-Fi Lunch - This one's just ok. The atmosphere is wonderful but the food isn't great.
Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner - Never tried this.
Hollywood N' Vine Lunch (thinking of cancelling) - I would definitely cancel this. We didn't like this at all. The place was dirty and the food was gross!
Rainforest Cafe in DTD - This one's another just ok.
Crystal Palace Breakfast - Never tried this. Gets great reviews though.
Garden Grill Dinner - We liked this one.
Tusker House Breakfast - Never done this.
Boma Dinner - This is my favorite in your list. We were there in May of this year and absolutely LOVED it!

Akershus Breakfast Awesome, we have done this one twice and the food was excellent but more importantly the kids had a great time and the character interaction was the best

Chef Mickey's Dinner Character interaction was great but the food was terrible

Sci-Fi Lunch We loved our lunch here! The burger, reuben and onion rings were excellent and the atmosphere is so cool, and super quiet

Hollywood N' Vine Lunch (thinking of cancelling) Never been to lunch but if it is anything like dinner ...CANCEL IT!

Rainforest Cafe in DTD Been here a few times, love the salads and the atmosphere is great!

Crystal Palace Breakfast One of our favorites! The food is always great and to get into the park early is a huge plus!

Boma Dinner Been once, the flavors are not our cup of tea but I will say we loved the prime rib, the falafel and the bread pudding

I've eaten at most all the spots you listed, and all are OK to really good, with two exceptions:

Si-Fi not good, poor food and poor service both times we've eaten there

DTD Rainforest expect to wait a long time for your table, and for your food after ordering We won't dine there in the future because it eats up so much time out of the day

Just wanted to mention in case you didn't know that both T-Rex AND Rainforest Cafe are NOT on the DDP! You will have to pay Out of Pocket for both of these restaurants! We ate at both at our last trip and will not be repeating either this time! They were good but not worth the time and money for us do to them again!

I sure do understand the head spinning thing! The coolest thing though is that you are at DisneyWorld so they all rate well for that reason

Seriously though, here are my opinions about the ones I have eaten at:

Akershus - My whole family loved this. The character interaction was fantastic and I was blown away by the princesses. I asked them all questions and they were so perfect with their answers. The food was just fine (but we did eat there for dinner). We loved that the picture with a princess came with the meal price. Highly recommend!!!!

Chef Mickey's - My kids loved seeing the characters and they will tell you how much they liked it. I did not. The food was questionable, it was noisy, the characters didn't interact much (well, they can't speak so that sucks!), and the bathrooms aren't even in the restaurant. And who pays for a picture with a statue??? I will not eat there again if I can help it.

Sci-Fi - The food is fine (nothing bad but nothing OMG either). The experience is pretty cool. Although if you have too long of a wait, the video does loop and you hear the same thing over again. Overall, I would go to this restaurant again. I like sitting in the cars and only having to talk to the person next to you

Rainforest Cafe - I really like the Rainforest Cafe including the food and decor. Of course, if you have a Rainforest Cafe near you, it might be better to use your ADR at a Disney restaurant. But I really like the place, so I'm not recommending you don't go!

Boma - 100% LOVE this place. Excellent food. Great service. Great for the whole family. YUMMY!!!

Which one to cancel? Well I'd cancel Chef Mickey's but only because I've 'been there, done that' and not doing it again

BOMA great CRYSTAL good but for the rest imo no RAINFOREST horrible TUSKER HOUSE food looks slopped together(have not eaten there)



If I were you I would TRY( know its haaard) Jiko, Flying Fish, Citricos or Narcoossee's, and Woofgang Puck

Tusker House Lunch: good choice I enjoyed it here

T-Rex Dinner: Lots of fun, decent food

Akershus Breakfast: very good. Good character interaction and they give a bunch of free pics

Chef Mickey's Dinner: so/so I prefer the places at the Poly

Sci-Fi Lunch: fun but overpriced

Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner: not worth the time since they removed character

Hollywood N' Vine Lunch (thinking of cancelling): good thinking

Rainforest Cafe in DTD: blah. You can do better. House of Blues is much much better. You could also do Raglan Road, Portobellos or the new South American place

Crystal Palace Breakfast: solid choice

Garden Grill Dinner: also overrated. The place is not conducive to characters as you can't see them when they are not at your table

Tusker House Breakfast: never been for breakfast

Boma Dinner: my choice for best in WDW


I noticed you are not scheduled for a dinner at World Showcase. I always have to have at least one dinner (usually more) at the WS and then enjoy illuminations
